Carol Sneed incorporates her interior design training to create colorful landscapes, street scenes, still life and abstract oil paintings. In a loose impressionist style, she captures her subjects using vibrant color, rich texture, and spontaneous brushwork. After graduating from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Carol later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Houston. She practiced interior design in Houston, TX, and also in Jackson, MS, prior to her exclusive concentration on painting.
Turning from interior design to painting, Carol enjoys creating the sorts of pieces that she searched for on design jobs. She has studied under several nationally noted artists, and draws inspiration from her travels throughout the country and Europe. Carol's work can be found in both private and corporate collections.
Carol lives with her husband, Bill, in Jackson MS. Their daughter, Katherine, is a senior accounting major at Ole Miss.
Carol is represented by Nunnery's Gallery in Jackson, Mississippi and Hole In The Wall Gallery in Ennis, Montana.
